Weekly Nova team meeting

MEETING TIME: Thursdays alternating 14:00 UTC (#openstack-meeting) and 21:00 UTC (#openstack-meeting)

This meeting is a weekly gathering of developers working on OpenStack Compute (Nova). We cover topics such as release planning and status, bugs, reviews, and other current topics worthy of real-time discussion.

NOTE: this wiki page should be 'emptied' at the end of each meeting.

  • (mriedem): I plan on scrubbing https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/nova-ocata-feature-freeze before next week to maybe drop things that haven't started but to also highlight things that need review and are close if given a good push. Given that, I'm proposing a review sprint for next week on Wednesday 1/11 which leaves about a week before library release freeze and two weeks before feature freeze.
  • (efried / thorst) PowerVM Update
    • CI Status - overlapping name spaces between in tree proposed driver and out-of-tree driver causing issues. Working through them by changing the OOT driver namespace.
    • Reviews - WIP reviews are up, but due to CI issues they came in later than we hoped. Still being worked. Open question on do we need our in tree CI working for these genesis change sets? Skip list will be large.
  • (tovin07): OSprofiler support in Nova is almost done and marked as good progress.
