*** Started looking at the wiki there are rough notes at: https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/opendev-bionic-server-upgrades#L58
*** Hound looks to be a fairly simple service with indexed/ached data on disk.  It's currently running Focal with "bookwork" containers Any reason to stay there?
+
** MariaDB Upgrades (clarkb 20240220)
*** I think there was a suggestion we could implement prometheus and once were happy with that drop cacti, Is that correct?
+
*** Relying on the container image MARIADB_AUTO_UPGRADE flag
** Python container updates (tonyb 20230718)
+
*** Etherpad and mailman are done. Gerrit and Gitea are all that remain.
*** zuul-operator is the last hold out now
+
** AFS Mirror cleanups (clarkb 20240220)
**** https://review.opendev.org/c/zuul/zuul-operator/+/881245 is the change we need to get landed.
+
*** Ubuntu Xenial is next but currently busy with PTG, Release, and other tasks.
** Updating Zuul's database server (clarkb 20231121)
+
*** Can followup with webserver log processing to determine which other mirrors may be dead.
*** Currently this is an older mysql 5.7 trove instance
+
** Building Ubuntu Noble Nodes (clarkb 20240416)
*** We can move it to a self hosted instance (maybe on a dedicated host?) running out of docker like many of our other services and get it more up to date.
+
*** https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/glean/+/915907 Glean updates for python3.12 support
*** Are there other services we should consider this for as well?
+
*** Appears we will need a debootstrap from debian unstable to build noble
*** Research/Planning questions: https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/opendev-zuul-mysql-upgrade
+
** Etherpad 2.0.x Upgrade planning (clarkb 20240416)
** AFS quota issues (frickler 20231217)
+
*** https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/914119
*** mirror.openeuler has reached its quota limit and the mirror job seems to be failing since two weeks. I'm also a bit worried that they seem do have doubled their volume over the last 12 months
+
*** Etherpad 2.0.2 removes the old APIKEY API auth method and now uses Oauth2.0 client_credentials instead. This new system is not yet released, but we are working to determine how to use it pre release.
*** ubuntu mirrors are also getting close, but we might have another couple of months time there
+
** Add reference to the project-team-guide in the fail ci msg (fungi 20240423)
*** mirror.centos-stream seems to have a steep increase in the last two months and might also run into quota limits soon
+
*** https://review.opendev.org/914189
*** We should be able to clean up older arm64 ubuntu-ports and possibly also older debian arm mirroring.
+
** Gerrit 3.9 Upgrade Planning (clarkb 20240423)
** Broken wheel build issues (frickler 20231217)
+
*** https://www.gerritcodereview.com/3.9.html Release Notes
*** For arm nodes this is due to lacking working openafs packages for centos on arm. This should be resolvable now that we have working arm dib builds again
+
*** Downgrade is possible with an offline reindex using the old war.
*** There is also a publication issue in choosing the wrong afs volume to vos release that affects x86 and presumably arm once openafs on arm works again.
+
*** Need to compile an upgrade checklist (go over breaking changes and also test the downgrade).
** OpenDev Pre PTG (clarkb 20240123)
+
*** Server could stand to be upgraded as well but I think it is probably best to decouple these concerns.
*** Looking at try to do two days Wednesday and Thursday sometime in February:
+
** Wiki SSL Cert Renewal (clarkb 20240423)
**** February 7+8
+
*** We have just under 4 weeks to renew the cert. This is one of the last (maybe the only) manually managed ssl cert.
**** February 14+15
+
*** Will probably delay until we have less than a week left before processing it.
**** February 21+22

*** Have two blocks of time each day one that works better for EU and another for APAC. Probably 14:00-16:00UTC and 22:00-00:00 UTC.

*** Still very much open to feedback but I have to start somewhere

*** Will still sign up for the proper PTG, but with fewer expectations from admins that need to attend other PTG activities. Will gear the PTG proper towards users and new contributors.
