Weekly Nova team meeting
Regular MEETING TIME: Tuesdays 16:00 UTC (#openstack-nova on OFTC)
This meeting is a weekly gathering of developers working on OpenStack Compute (Nova). We cover topics such as release planning and status, bugs, reviews, and other current topics worthy of real-time discussion.

- Suggestion: Add a new hypervisor driver. See proof of concept

- TL;DR neutron marked linux bridge experimental a few releases ago but did not formally deprecate it.
- 3? weeks ago they deleted it but nova has not deprecated support nor has os-vif
- proposal formally deprecate linux bridge and disable testing in both nova and os-vif this cycle and remove linux bridge support next cycle
- this will allow 2025.1 nova work with neutron and linux bridge from 2024.2 and older.
- sean to propose patches to do the deprecation in os-vif(https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/os-vif/+/941585/8) and nova (TBD)
