Weekly Nova team meeting

Regular MEETING TIME: Tuesdays 16:00 UTC (#openstack-nova on OFTC)

This meeting is a weekly gathering of developers working on OpenStack Compute (Nova). We cover topics such as release planning and status, bugs, reviews, and other current topics worthy of real-time discussion.

    • Created https://blueprints.launchpad.net/nova/+spec/enforce-multipath
    • Do we need spec or can this be spec-less ?
      • The past discussion was caused by lack of validation at nova-compute start-up, which has been addressed.
      • If further discussion about use case/design is needed then tkajinam will propose one
  • (tkajinam): Python 3.8 support being removed
    • We started removing it from oslo so any remaining jobs with python 3.8 should be removed.
      • placement has a few remaining: https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/placement/+/931033
      • Question: Can we force 3.9 >= 0 or do we want to keep 3.8 >= 0 (see some feedback in https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/placement/+/925648 )
