*** Potentially need to manually run manage-projects to resync copyConditions for labels

*** Should consider applying https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/project-config/+/879906 or something like it when we do that to normalize indentation of configs to be what gerrit expects.

*** At some point we should stop building Gerrit 3.6 images, add a Gerrit 3.8 image (rc1 just released), and update our upgrade job.

*** Meetpad is done. Just need to clean up old servers when we feel confident we won't rollback.
*** static.opendev.org has moved to static02. Still need to cleanup static01 when we are convinced we won't revert.

*** What is next?
**** static02 runs jammy's openafs-client package not our ppa package.

+
*** Upgrade prep notes are going in https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/gerrit-upgrade-3.9
*** I half expect 1.19.1 to be released soon. May make more sense to wait for that update and upgrade directly to 1.19.1

*** Downgrade is possible with an offline reindex using the old war.
*** ML thread https://lists.opendev.org/pipermail/service-discuss/2022-October/000370.html
+
*** Things to think about:
*** Some projects decided to move back to launchpad at the most recent PTG
+
**** Do we want to enable diff3 diffs on merge changes?
 +
**** Change topic limit seems to only apply to open changes. Being over the limit doesn't seem to impact the upgrade process
 +
**** https://gerrit-review.googlesource.com/c/gerrit/+/424404 Upstream change to have release war build target without webfonts
 +
**** There is a new batched ref updated event that collects multiple ref updated events in a single event. This is disabled by default, but could one day impact zuul. Work sorting out likely.
 +
*** Server could stand to be upgraded as well but I think it is probably best to decouple these concerns.
