Scalr is ''Cloud Management software'', available under the Apache license, that allows users to manage cloud resources such as block storage, instances, ip addresses, and more. Scalr also includes components for infrastructure automation, such as failover, automatic scaling, and configuration management. Scalr's goal is to make trivial sysadmin tasks easy (even automated), while making the complex tasks possible, such as those for infrastructure management & software configuration.

Relevance to OpenStack: Scalr allows users to manage cloud resources provided by OpenStack Compute and Storage, such as block storage, instances, ip addresses, and snapshots. Users can also manage application resources such as releases, backups, and server configuration.

Basic roadmap for the project: http://wiki.scalr.net/Roadmap

Location of project source code: http://code.google.com/p/scalr

Programming language, required technology dependencies: python, php, javascript

Is project currently open sourced? What license?: Apache 2.0 license

Level of maturity of software and team: 3 years of development, 10 developers as of this writing.

Proposed project technical lead and qualifications: Sebastian Stadil, co-founder at Scalr Inc.

Other project developers and qualifications: Igor Savchenko, CTO at Scalr Inc.
