• [nmagnezi]: Octavia project quota consumption: Since all Amphora instances are being created at a single given tenant (admin tenant, in devstack), what is the recommended configuration for operators? (use a dedicated tenant? use admin tenant and increase quotas? other ideas?)
  • Octavia resources are created under the Octavia service account configured in the octavia.conf. We recommend this be a unique account with the quota (and RBAC) set appropriately or removed for the resources this account manages. (johnsom)
• [nmagnezi]: how do we recommend operators to handle a scenario in which a deployed certificate on an amphora expires (or close to an expiration). Since the same cert is being deployed an all amphoras, how should operators handle certificate renewal?
  • Each amphora gets a unique certificate issued, the only common component on all amphora is the CA certificate so the amphora can validate the server certificate of the controllers. (johnsom)
  • Housekeeping controller has automatic certificate rotation for the client certificates issued to the amphroa. Does this not meet the need? (johnsom)
