Overview

DMVPN introduces a hub and spoke model where the hub is configured once and remote VPN sites are the spokes that connects to the hub using IPsec VPN. DMVPN also facilitates automatic spoke-to-spoke connection that comes up dyanamically. Adding a new remote site has minimal impact in the configuration of the other sites participating in the multipoint VPN. DMVPN uses Next Hop Routing Protocol (NHRP) to implement the hub and spoke connectivity.
