** Service client dev (oomichi_away)

*** oomichi is concentrating on servers_client dev now. We can migrate the client into tempest-lib after https://review.openstack.org/#/c/255078/ https://review.openstack.org/#/c/254043/ https://review.openstack.org/#/c/255104/ https://review.openstack.org/#/c/255119/ https://review.openstack.org/#/c/255138/

*** after that, new tempest-lib which supports all compute clients will be released.

*** The review also is on nice progress: https://review.openstack.org/#/q/status:open+project:openstack/tempest+branch:master+topic:bp/consistent-service-method-names,n,z

*** hoping to get more reviews and patches :)

*** one point: please list patches on https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/mitaka-tempest-service-clients if you have them. it would be easy to track patches.

** Tempest Microversion Testing Support

*** https://review.openstack.org/#/q/status:open++branch:master+topic:bp/api-microversions-testing-support,n,z

** Javelin script testing

*** We hit issue on Javelin script testing where gate did not detect the service clients changes in this script.

**** Because grenade is not using it now.

*** Unit tests should be modified to mock service clients methods instead of whole client using magicmock. - gmann

***Or we can remove it if not in use anymore?

** Neutron LBAAS Scenario Tests

*** Shouldn't they still be within tempest's main repo instead of in https://github.com/openstack/neutron-lbaas? - dmellado

** Service client development for tempest-lib (oomichi cannot make it, but wants to share current progress by this note)<BR/>We have already prepared most compute service clients for the migration, and the first step is agents_client.<BR/>The latest tempest-lib(0.9.0) contains agents_client, and we are switching to tempest-lib's agents_client in Tempest: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/224057/<BR/>After this, we will share the migration working items on https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/tempest-lib-service-client-migration , and make the progress forward.<BR/>After all compute service clients are migrated to tempest-lib, we will work for network(neutron) service clients as the next target.

** Move success response checking of Swift to tempest clients https://review.openstack.org/#/c/117193/ (dmorita)

*** Swift's core members say Swift's policy of response code is responding 2xx series on success. They believe they should not define one or two specific code(s) for successful response.

*** On the other hand, Kenichi makes an assertion that OpenStack's policy says a response code should not be changed, so we should make tests more strictly.
