This meeting is a weekly gathering of developers working on OpenStack Masakari. We cover topics such as release planning and status, bugs, reviews, and other current topics worthy of real-time discussion.

Meeting date: 20/2/2018

• High priority items
  • Release
    • Masakari will follow independent release model for Queens.
    • stable/queens branch for masakari-monitors, python-masakariclient will be created at 2/13. Finish all merging before 2/9
      • Delayed: Due to problem with python-masakariclient
    • stable/queens branch for masakari will be created at 2/23. Finish all merging before 2/20
      • Proceed as scheduled
  • Masakari Project mascot
    • Need mascot proposals for Masakari, see FAQ for more info
    • Current ideas: Origin of "Masakari" is related to hero from Japanese folklore; [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kintar%C5%8D Kintaro]. Considering that relationship and start the process, here are few ideas,

1. Asiatic black bear
2. Gekko Geckos is able to regrow it's tail when the tail is lost.

  • Call Force down API when host-failure will be notified
    • Current masakari will wait for 3 minutes when host-failure will be notified. The purpose of this is to wait nova-compute down. There is a possibility that using force down API instead of waiting make recovery process faster.
    • Honjo and Takahara are planning to create a blueprint for this.
