- Files backup scene(jiaopengju)
- 1. Where to backup:backup files to object storage cluster(s3 or swift)
- 2. What to backup:
(1) files in physical servers with openstack services deployed, or other servers in the cluster. (2) files in vms that users would like to backup this is two kinds of demand groups, one for Operation and Maintenance Engineer, one for vm users
- 3. How to backup:
Use a service(karbor) which can backup vms and volumes ether
- 4. Why should it be used in this way:
Unified mangement of all the backups for 2 (1) or 2 (2) For 2(1), this provides a convenient way for the engineers For 2(2), this provides a unified way for users to manage all his backups conveniently
- One use case about Volume backup restore: File-level Browse, Search&restore(chenying)
- Now the volume backup plugin can protect the one single volume by makeing a backup of it. When user
- want to restore the volume, he can restore the whole volume form the backup. But user have another
- he want to restore the specific file or directory in the backup copy of the volume.requirement about
