What is Lambda

The Lambda service is derived from Lambda Calculus [1]. Genereralized functions of code as a service that will bind to several events, triggers, condition etc :) While it might look similar to the service with the same name in AWS, the goal is to build new compute primitives for the OpenStack ecosystem, beyond VMs and Containers. Stay tuned.... Also this will eventually allow us to build complex data processing pipelines like the Lambda Architecture in Stream Processing.
