Bodies
As of September 2012, the OpenStack project is governed by a number of bodies, defined by the OpenStack Foundation bylaws:
- Foundation board of directors
- Technical Committee
- User Committee
Leaders
The OpenStack community relies on people stepping up to fill a number of leadership positions:
- Program Technical Leads (PTLs) are elected for each program. They manage day-to-day operations, drive the program goals
and resolve technical disputes within their program.
- Cross Project Liaisons (CPLs) are the contact points for various horizontal functions in each program.
Processes
- New project inclusion process
- New program inclusion process
Elections
We are holding elections regularly to renew a number of members present in these bodies. The next elections are due in January 2015 (Board of Directors) and September/October 2014 (PTLs & Technical Committee).
Current elections: There are no current elections. Stay up to date on current TC and PTL activity by attending the meetings: https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Meetings
