German Translations

The following list of English words and their German preferred translation has been established while translating Horizon to German for the Icehouse release. It's continuously updated and applies to all documents.

Exception to the below must happen when translating glossaries as else the sort order is confused, and so is the reader. The convention to be used is to mention the original term first, then the translated term in brackets. Example: Image (Abbild), it will remain under letter "I" even after translation. In all other text only the translated term remains.

If you add a new item and in particular if you propose a change to an existing one, please always mark the change in some way to allow post-correction of probably already reviewed terms in the Zanata source.
