Bug Squashing Day

When ?

The next day will happen on February 2nd, 2012: Nova bug squashing day.

What ?

The bug squashing day is a day where all the OpenStack developer community focuses exclusively on bugs corresponding to the bug squashing day topic. This can be done in multiple ways: you don't have to be an experienced Nova developer to participate, and those days are a great way to start joining the OpenStack community.

Where ?

The event happens mostly online, in a dedicated #openstack-bugsquash IRC channel on Freenode (that all participants are encouraged to join for the duration of the event). It can also happen in various places around the world, as the community informally gathers around food and drinks to squash bugs !

How ?

For efficient bug squashing, you'll need to have bug supervisor rights. If you can't edit bug status and terminate the bugs efficiently, just ask one of the channel moderators to add you to the necessary Launchpad groups !
