Airship Committee Checklists
This wiki outlines the various periodical responsibilities of the Airship Technical and Working Committees and is intended to serve as an easy-to-reference checklist, onboarding guide, and reminder for committee members.
All Committees
Election Checklist
When | Action | |

Working Committee
Anually (each election or each member turnover)
- Add newly-elected committee members to the Airship Governance core group and remove former members.
- Add newly-elected committee members to the Airship Election core group and remove former members.
- Add newly-elected committee members to the Airship Working Committee member list and remove former members.
- Add newly-elected committee members to the Airship Security mailing list.
- Add newly-elected committee members to the working committee email alias, wc@airshipit.org. NOTE: this action can only be performed by the OpenStack foundation.
- Add newly-elected committee members to the #airship-committees channel on the Airship slack workspace and remove former members.
- Add newly-elected committee members as admins of the Airshipit Github organization and remove admin status from former members.
- Add newly-elected committee members as admins of the Airshipit Quay organization and remove admin status from former members.
- Exchange secrets (and ideally change) secrets (i.e. airshipbot credentials, airship mailing list secrets) with the former committee members.
Daily (or as-needed)
- Review airship-discuss mailing list moderation queue.
- Respond to Airship vulnerability reports (reported to airship-security mailing list). For more information, see the Airship Security Vulnerability Management process documentation.
- Maintain Zuul-encrypted secrets (instructions).
Weekly
- Host the Airship Weekly IRC meeting. TIP: creating agendas ahead of time allows contributors to add items well in advance of the next meeting.
Bi-Weekly (or for each Working Committee Meeting)
- Update the next meeting date/agenda link on the Airship Working Committee wiki page.
- Host an open meeting.
Technical Committee
