On Demand Agenda

We can only pick one or two topics we can talk about in the time left of the meeting. People should add ideas to the topics section. We will select one or two topics we can discuss during the next meeting. Please follow the template below:

  • March 17th:
  • March 24th:
    • (ralonsoh): [OVN] Virtual ports should not update the host ID in the VIF details (https://bugs.launchpad.net/neutron/+bug/2144312)
      • Problem: having the profile host ID in a virtual port can trigger the binding of the port. This information (host ID) is only present in the ML2/OVN virtual ports.
      • Solution: add a VIF details new field (something like "parent_host_id"), that will contain the same information without populating the `profile.host` field that is used by the mech driver for other purposes (port binding, for example). That will also solve issues with Octavia VIPs (https://bugs.launchpad.net/octavia/+bug/2125573).
