On Demand Agenda

We can only pick one or two topics we can talk about in the time left of the meeting. People should add ideas to the topics section. We will select one or two topics we can discuss during the next meeting. Please follow the template below:

So while this seems like a feature based on the release note, looking at the follow-on to the original series it has the title:

"[ovn] Add 'security-groups-remote-address-group' extension to OVN"

https://review.opendev.org/q/topic:%22bp/address-groups-in-sg-rules%22

https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/neutron/+/765101

To me that implies the extension was supported for OVN starting in Wallaby, even though it did not work.

The ovsdbapp support for this was added in 2024.1, so adding this change to 2024.2 and 2024.1 has no requirements change:

https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/ovsdbapp/+/905044

For that reason I feel this can be considered a bug fix and would like to consider this as closing the ML2/OVS versus OVN gap.
