Greetings Stackers,
Release Meeting
The initial release of OpenStack is in just 2 days. Today is our final release meeting. As usual we will be at 21:00 UTC in #openstack-meeting on freenode.
Find your local time here: [http://timeanddate.com/s/1v49]
The agenda is here: [http://wiki.openstack.org/Meetings].
The logs will be posted here: [http://wiki.openstack.org/MeetingLogs]
Release Candidates
I am going to try to create release candidates for each subproject directly after the meeting. Developers please try to review and merge all pending merge proposals before the meeting. I'll send out another email when they are available.
Release Freeze
After the Release candidates are out, we will officially be in release freeze. Only bugs deemed release critical will be fixed and merged before the Austin release. Also, please file bugs. We need to make sure we catch all the release critical bugs. If you don't tell us, we could miss something important.
Launchpad team
Shortly after the release, we will be temporarily closing the Launchpad teams to new members. We will be instituting a policy that requires a participation agreement to be signed before membership is granted. The participation agreement will consist of the current CLA, which is a rehashing of the Apache license, and a code of conduct. There will be no material changes and we will still not require copyright assignment: So relax.
Cheers,
Rick Clark
OpenStack Chief Architect
